Ron Paul's congressional race (in Texas) was won with 70% of the vote (37,220 votes).
However, his presidential race only garnered 6,697 votes.
That means that only 1 in 5 of the people who supported him for the house seat, voted for him for President.
Say what you will, make the excuses that you want. But this makes absolutely no sense.
If this happened to Hillary or Obama, we'd be calling for a recount.
